Sadly, however, the treasures inside are very poorly kept. There is very little labeling or signage, many exterior windows are broken (when it rains in Cairo, it rains INSIDE the museum), the interior and display cases are filthy, many priceless antiquities are left exposed to sunlight, and the entire museum gives off a sense of general neglect of its treasures. It's sad.
