Between Karnak and downtown Luxor, there is a lovely Nileside pedestrian promenade. However, because all white tourists are busily shuttled from one monument to another in air-conditioned buses, no one actually WALKS in Egypt. So the only people enjoying this pretty promenade were us and some locals.
