Mmmm cioppino, crusty French bread, and New Zealand white wine...prepare to please us.

The next morning, we drove north to Paihia and the Bay of Islands! New Zealand has lots of bees, so we stopped at another hive shop.

Honey tasting! Mead tasting! But...put stick down hole. (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID)

Matt's new favorite vehicle.

Another random tourist attraction we saw en route to Paihia: Sheep World.

Yes, it really exists.

And they have sheep shows.

...and pink sheep. We still have no idea what the story was with this...

New Zealand is lousy with waterfalls. This is Whangerei Falls, in the town of Whangerei, south of Paihia.

Lovely Whangerei Falls.

We made it to Paihia! Our hostel was The Pickled Parrot, right near the beach.

Our cozy little room at the Pickled Parrot.

It was cloudy and cool, and occasionally rainy, for 2 straight days in Paihia. This is one good photo I managed to get.

But there's always New Zealand beer to drink, rain or shine! New Zealand's famous Tui Beer.

Another lovely waterfall- the horseshoe-shaped Haruru Falls outside Paihia.

The weather prevented us from hitting the beach, so we explored the outlying areas near Paihia. Look, we found a Kiwi Zone!!

In the Kiwi Zone, another falls! This is Rainbow Falls, near Kerikeri, a crafts town. p.s. Ignore the pouring rain.

Rainy Rainbow Falls.

A lovely shot of Rainbow Falls.

New Zealand flowers! Oooh la la!
