Our first real campsite, in Arusha, Tanzania. After a long drive from Nairobi, we pulled into Arusha to make dinner. Our truck is self-sufficient, containing all dishes, food, and chairs for the safari. Note the tubs on the ground- these are handwashing and dishwashing tubs. If there's no strict sanitation, then everyone would come down with traveler's diarrhea after a few weeks. And, what are these people doing? Well, there's no dish drying towels for sanitation reasons, so everyone must air dry their dishes after washing!!
