Next stop, after lunch: Nairobi's Giraffe Center, my favorite place in the entire city. This sanctuary raises the rare Rothschild Giraffe and is a hoot to visit!! There are 3 species of giraffe in Kenya, but for unknown reasons the Rothschild is becoming scarce. Side note: Soon after this photo was taken, I was bitten by a mysterious Kenyan bug that spread a bizarre rash all the way up my arm and scared the crap out of Matt and the Giraffe Center employees. Lucky for me they stock antihistamine cream!!
