Bern & Lucerne Switzerland, 2015

We arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, and spent a few hours walking the gorgeous Old Town while we waited for our BlaBlaCar ride.
The Joneses in Zurich.
The weather was definitely better than London- about 80F and gorgeous.

Old Town Zurich's famous clock, which is apparently the largest clock face in the world. The Swiss do luvs them sum clocks.
Our BlaBlaCar ride drove us ninety minutes south to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. This is our hotel, the Bern Metropole, which looks far more lovely from the outside than the inside.
Bern is famous for its many, MANY fountains in Old Town. Most were built in the 15th century.

More cool fountains.
And another...and, all fountains and windows are adorned with lots of bright flowers.

A close-up of how very intricate the mouldings on these fountains are. It's pretty amazing given their 500-year-old age.
Bern's Old Town clock, which like most Old Town Swiss clocks, has an elaborate chiming ceremony each hour. It's a bit like a monster-sized cuckoo clock.
The clock in the lovely August sunshine.
I luvs me sum Swiss flowers, especialy when they match my outfit.
We discovered a lovely park on top of a hill, overlooking the town and the Alps.
We decided to sit and watch the full moon rise over Bern and the Alps.
Full moon rising...
