It's my birthday! So we are off on the Eurostar for a weekend in Reims, the capital of Champagne production.
My first glass of local Champagne

The next day we explored Reims. This is their famous cathedral.

The incredible sculpture of the Reims cathedral, all recently refurbished.
The gorgeous stained glass inside the Cathedral.
Every one of these French kings were crowned here in Reims Cathedral. It's a hugely historic place. The WWII Peace Accords were signed here as well.
The Cathedral of Reims.
But now it's time for Champagne tasting!! We visited a co-op of local producers. Dig the cool lighting.
Amongst the bottle lights were numbered bottles, that when pulled from the ceiling, corresponded to a number on the giant map of Champagne regions on the floor.
My birthday Champagne flight. I iz happy.
My official birthday Champagne purchase.
At night, Reims Cathedral produces a stunning sont et lumiere (sound and light) show projected onto the Cathedral.
Later, we discovered a pop-up garden Champagne bar run by Veuve Clicquot.
I loved the bright umbrellas decorating the walls.
