A Nice Christmas

We arrived in Nice on a lovely winter day! This is our hotel, the Best Western Alba, on the main shopping street.
The lovely church next to our hotel.
At night, Nice's Christmas market lit up on the main square!
Nice has a very cool lighting installation- giant sitting men on poles, each lit in a bright pastel color.
All the lights of the main square
Ferris wheel, Christmas market, and cool sitting glowing men!
#ILoveNice. Why yes I do.

The dancing fountains on the square.
There was a cool lighting installation with the fountains, too....
A brightly lit Christmas display at the fountain's edge
Christmas trees and Ferris Wheels.
Cute penguins and flocked trees....
Before our first Nice dinner, we stopped for Martini Rossis (red martinis, tastes like basil, hmm)
We had dinner at Tire Bouchon, on their Night of the Candles. No electricity in the dining room, just lovely candles everywhere.
The romantic dining room, all candlelit!
The next morning, we took a stroll down the Promenade Anglais, where there is a Quay des Etat Unis...with its own Statue of Liberty!
The flower markets of Nice are stunning.
Lavender is a huge item to buy here....
We decided to take some day trips. The public bus #100 is just one euro, but runs up the Corniche Inferieur, Moyenne, and Grand. These three roads hug the Mediterranean and are a stunning ride.
