Luxembourg and Germany

We arrived in Luxembourg in the morning, and had the day to explore the tiny capital city of Luxembourg City.
The fortress of Luxembourg sits atop Old Town, overlooking the former city walls and the River Alzette

Me at the top of Luxembourg Old Town!
Lower Town was a lovely, quiet area in the shadow of the fortress walls.

The next day we went to Mainz, Germany on the FlixBus. This is their gorgeous Dom.
The Joneses conquer Mainz!
The antique pipe organ inside one of Mainz's many churches.
Gorgeous ceiling frescoes...
Mainz is also famous for Marc Chagall's stained glass windows inside St Stephan's.
The windows are a stunning blue.
A close-up of one of the windows.
The entire interior of the church glows blue, almost like it's underwater. It was gorgeous.
I loved this coffee. Well done, Mainz :)
Mainz has one street that wasn't destroyed by WWII, and it's filled with cute half- timbered houses.

Lots of wild flowers growing up the walls...
