We arrived Wednesday afternoon in Paphos, Cyprus...this is our hotel, Pyramos.

Paphos' lovely waterfront promenade.

The promenade leading to Paphos Castle.

Enjoying a sunny walk on the promenade

Paphos Castle, dramatically sited on the end of the promenade

Me at the Castle!

I love this cool sculpture....

...so I decided to join it.

Just another day at the beach

We visited Paphos' famous Archaeological Museum, right by the promenade.

The Museum is mostly open-air, showcasing a ruined city.

The Museum contains nearly intact ancient mosaics, discovered by British trench-diggers during WWII.

Admiring the intact antiquities, with a great Med view

They actually let you walk all over them, it's crazy.

The mosaics are stunning! They are colorful and intact- and from the Roman times.

One of the crown jewels of the mosaic collection.

The Joneses pose with mosaics

One part of the museum was a former ancient home. This home is recreated with a roof and walls, and walkways to view the mosaics.

The mosaics are simply enormous, given their age.

These have not been restored!! This is a Paphos soldier killing a tiger.
