Camino Inglés

The Tres Peregrin@s successfully arrived in Ferrol, Spain- the starting point of the Camino Inglés.
This is the marker of the Camino Inglés's official starting point, located on the Ferrol waterfront.
At the Ferrol Tourism Office near the marker, we received our first Camino sello (stamp)!
Angie gets her credenciál stamp from the Tourism Office!
The starting point was 1 kilometer from our hotel, in the OPPOSITE direction. So we walked the first kilometer this afternoon, then explored Ferrol.

This is the first of MANY of these photos....
Angie discovers the Indiana Tavern. Not sure what they'd serve here. Corn? Red state fascism?
Playing around in Ferrol's town square
Later that evening, we went to dinner at an amazing Galician restaurant, Nautica.
Zamburiñas, or scallops, seemed very appropriate for a pre-Camino dinner.
Mmmm scallops prepare to please us
Our mochilas (backpacks) are ready for the Camino: Matt even hand-painted Pilgrim scallop shells for our mochilas.
At 7am the next morning, we set off from Ferrol.
The Joneses start the Camino Inglés!
It was fairly hot for Galicia in June: about 78F/25C.
A gorgeous setting on the Camino.
The day's walk was short, and led us around an inlet.
Many locals had set up Camino photo opps where their homes bordered the Camino.
